Motorists are urged to be aware of road closures for this Sunday’s Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk.
Thousand of walkers will share a strip of Durban’s gorgeous beachfront when they hit the beachfront for the walk this Sunday.Road closures for Sunday ECR Big Walk are as follows:
From 05h00 until ±12h30
• NMR Avenue (south bound) from Goble Road to Argyle Road.
• NMR) Avenue (north bound) from Argyle Road to Walter Gilbert Road.
• Snell Parade from Athlone Drive to Battery Beach Road.
• Athlone Drive between NMR Ave and Snell Parade.
• M4 (north bound) offramp to Athlone Drive.
• M4 (south bound) offramp to Athlone Drive.
• M4 (south bound) onramp to Riverside Road. [Roadway open to traffic at 11h30]
• M4 (north bound) onramp to Riverside Road. [Roadway open to traffic at 11h30]
• NMR Avenue (south bound) two lanes from Athlone Drive to Goble Rd – All vehicles to go west upon Goble Rd.
• Battery Beach Rd / Snell Parade [at the traffic circle] – Controlled Access to the parking at the Mustering Fields.
