Durban events in solidarity with national mass protests

The community is encouraged to stand together in solidarity with those marching to the Union Buildings, by taking part in events in Durban.

THE Democratic Alliance has organised a number of events to be held in and around Durban this week to show solidarity with those who will be participating in the anti-Zuma march to the Union Buildings on Wednesday.

The community can show their support tomorrow, 12 April, by attending a placard demonstration at the intersection of Kenyon Howden and Montclair Roads from 4pm to 6pm, a prayer street meeting at the soccer field at the intersection of Kenilworth and Brickfield Roads, Overport, at 6am and a placard demonstration at South Coast Road, time to be confirmed (contact Sharmaine Sewshanker on 079 505 8505).

On 13 April, there will be a table operating at the Workshop at 1pm and a street meeting will be held on 15 April at the Asherville Stadium from 9am.
There will be an information table at Merebank Mall on 17 April from 1pm and a candlelight vigil will be held on 17 April at the presidential residence, Kings House, in Morningside, time to be confirmed. Contact Martin Meyer on ward27@ethekwini.org.
