Man stabbed in botched hijacking

Paramedics attended the scene and treated him for his injury before taking him to a nearby hospital.

A GLENMORE gardener was stabbed in the neck during an alleged botched hijacking last week.

Blue Security operations manager Brian Jackson said details regarding the hijacking were sketchy because the victim was unsure what had happened when he arrived injured at a property in Nicolai Crescent at around 10pm on 3 April.

“A resident’s gardener arrived in the driveway of the property in a car he had borrowed from one of his other clients in order to provide lifts to passengers that night. He pulled into the driveway in the vehicle and jumped out screaming for help,” Jackson said.

Jackson said he told the resident someone had tried to hijack him, but was unsure exactly where it had happened. Paramedics attended the scene and treated him for his injury before taking him to a nearby hospital,” he said.

Umbilo SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
