Fuel prices to drop in April
With the soaring costs of living, the price cut in petrol has been welcomed by motorists.
EVEN with the added increases announced in the budget vote speech for 2017, petrol prices will drop thanks to the strengthened Rand during the period.
The Department of Energy confirmed the price reduction. Petrol 95 ULP and LRP will decrease by 24 cents per litre, petrol 93 ULP and LRP will decrease by 22 cents per litre and diesel will decrease by 10.50 cents per litre. The prices will come into affect from midnight, on Wednesday, 5 April.
The fuel decrease has also factored in the fuel levy and road accident fund levy increase by 30 cents and 9 cents respectively.
