Quick municipal action commended

"The hole in the road was unsafe and was causing a lot of irritation to many people."

THE quick action by the municipality to fix a hole in Esther Roberts Road has been commended by Councillor Nicole Graham.

Graham said she had received numerous complaints from residents regarding the pothole, which she said was a broken sewer patch.

“The hole in the road was unsafe and was causing a lot of irritation to many people. I reported it to the municipality last week and am glad to say it has been fixed,” she said.

The hole in the road raised a lot of attention recently when a vehicle plowed through danger tape surrounding it early one morning, landing up ‘face first’ inside the hole.

Since then, it had been filled but the road surface hadn’t been levelled and tarred.
