Man injured after car collides with tree

A MOTORIST was seriously injured after his vehicle collided with a tree in Alan Paton (McDonald) Road this afternoon (9 March).

According to Chris Botha from Netcare 911, at around 12.48pm Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the collision.

“Reports from the scene indicate that the car veered off the roadway in the wet weather and collided with a tree. The driver sustained serious injuries and was treated by medics before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care,” said Botha.

He said the exact cause of the crash and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of a police investigation.
