Business forum meets

Business owners and managers in the Point area are invited to a business forum meeting.

THE Point Business Forum and Point Social Crime Prevention invite business owners and managers in the Point area to a business forum meeting on 28 February at Marine Lifesaving Club, 19 Erskine Terrace, South Beach, at 1pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to enforce the partnership between Point SAPS and Point Business Forum, to encourage good governance by increasing co-operation between the police and business and to bring about more effective contributions from businesses which intend to work with the police.

“We aim to build effective and value-added police-community relations and encourage a shared responsibility and accountability for community safety or community policing outcomes,” said Col PM Moodley from Point SAPS.

Point SAPS intends to enter into a partnership with the Point Business Forum to improve communication in addressing crime and to promote co-operation by ensuring joint problem identification and solving in the Point area.

“We want to improve local safety and security by taking proactive and reactive initiatives to address factors that cause or enable crime in the area,” said Moodley.

To attend the meeting, contact Capt Magin at Point SAPS on 031 367 4027 or 082 411 5706.
