One injured in Point collision

The police will investigate the cause of a collision in the Durban CBD late last night.

ONE person was injured after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Mahatma Gandhi (Point) Road and Anton Lembede (Smith) Street on Friday evening.

Garrith Jamieson, operations director from Rescue Care Paramedics, said just after 10.15pm, paramedics were called to the collision in Durban central.

“On arrival they found the badly damaged cars in the junction. One person had sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene before being transported by Rescue Care to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required,” he said.

Jamieson said at this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
