Glenwood waterpolo teams battle Kearsney

Glenwood High School's first waterpolo team dominated a match against a strong Kearsney team at the weekend.

GLENWOOD High School's waterpolo teams took on Kearsney College on Saturday.

The junior teams were always going to struggle against Kearsney, however the U15A team had a solid match, playing under their new coach Mr Jason Saayman. Their defence had Kearsney somewhat bothered but Kearsney were worthy winners in the end. For Glenwood, Jordan Dreyer had an outstanding match. The U16A team won its match comfortably, with Michael Edwards scoring six goals.

The 1st team match was somewhat one sided, however the Glenwood boys dominated from the beginning. Captain Gabriel Stopford led from the front scoring six goals, and also had an outstanding match at centre back. Slade du Randt and goalkeeper Alex van Rooyen also had memorable performances.
