Police investigate shooting

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information on a shooting at a Durban medical practice on Friday to come forward and assist them with the investigation.

Police are investigating a case of murder after a man (46), who is thought to be a doctor was shot dead at the Durdoc Medical Centre in Durban.

According to provincial SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane, two men entered the man’s surgery posing as patients at the facility.

“They produced a firearm and shot the victim once in his head. He died instantly, and the two suspects fled the scene thereafter,” he said.

Zwane said the motive for the killing is unknown, and no arrests have yet been made.
