Man killed in M19 crash

The engine of the vehicle was found some distance from the wreckage.

A man in his twenties has been killed after colliding with a steel structure on the M19 Durban bound before N2 earlier this morning.

Rescue Care paramedics responded to  the scene just after 6.15am this morning to find carnage. A vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a steel structure leaving a man in his twenties entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics assessed the man but he had sadly passed away before their arrival. The engine of the vehicle was found some distance from the wreckage.

The vehicle’s engine was found some distance away.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown however SAPS will be investigating further.
