Reunion supports charity

A reunion of the Boktown Pub will be held at The Dutch Club, Tara Road, to raise funds for a children's centre.

SURVIVORS of the Boktown Pub on the Bluff have planned a reunion party so that they may get together to reminisce and share their stories, at The Dutch Club, Tara Road, Bluff, on Friday, 16 December.

The party will also be a fundraiser for the Isaiah 54 Children’s Crisis Centre on the Bluff. The centre relies on donations from the public and is in urgent need of funds to cover day-to-day expenses and to help with unexpected emergencies.

Some of the bands and musicians who performed at Boktown have volunteered their services and will perform at the reunion party. Among these artists are Salty Dog, Lee’s Bronsky Beaters, Glen Winter, AM, and Calamity Jam.

Entry to the show is a minimum donation of R20. There will be no entry fee for children who are 14 years old or younger. All money raised from the entrance fee will be given to the centre.

Donations of items that can be used as prizes for raffles and lucky draws which will be held during the event will also be appreciated.
