STAFF members of Unilever spread some festive cheer amongst the children of Kenneth Gardens homework club, in what has become an annual Christmas party on the grounds. Joyce Gunkel, a community leader at Kenneth Gardens said at least 80 children enjoyed the Christmas party.
“It has become an annual event and we are grateful to the staff at Unilever who chose the children from our homework club to benefit. We close our homework club at this time of the year, and they really give our children a treat with gifts, lunch and desserts as well as fun activities,” she said.
Lerato Ndlovu, a staff member at Unilever said the initiative was a fun way of giving back to communities. “It was great spending the day with the kids, we really had fun,” she added.
