Berea police chief makes drug arrest

Berea Station Commander leads by example in Musgrave drug arrest.

THE new head of Berea SAPS showed he leads by example after successfully arresting a man for possession of drugs in Musgrave yesterday afternoon.

According to Berea police’s communications officer, Captain PN Naidoo, Station Commander, Col Nkosinathi Radebe was on patrol with other officers on Stephen Dlamini (Essenwood) Road when they noticed a man acting suspiciously. “They stopped and searched the man and found him in possession of drugs, tablets to the value of R18 400,” Naidoo said.

The 28-year-old man was arrested and detained at Berea SAPS. He is expected to appear in court today.
