RESCUE Care Paramedics confirmed that a man was killed and a woman has been seriously injured in the shooting incident in Ferguson Road at around 4pm today.
Garrith Jamieson said paramedics arrived on the scene to find that the two people had sustained gunshot wounds.
“A man in his thirties had sustained a single gunshot wound to his upper body. Paramedics assessed him but unfortunately there was nothing more they could do and he was declared deceased on the scene. A woman in her twenties also sustained a gunshot wound to her lower extremities,” he said.
Jamieson said the woman was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
“SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further,” he said.
