Public meeting to address beachfront crime

Boscombe Terrace residents are invited to a meeting which will address endemic service delivery problems in the area.

DEMOCRATIC Alliance MP, Haniff Hoosen and Councillor Nicole Graham, will be host a public meeting with residents around Boscombe Terrace, next to the beachfront library/Metro Police station on 19 November at 10am.

According to Graham, the meeting will address endemic service delivery problems in the area.

“Residents cannot sleep or live in peace due to constant noise, crime and chaos outside their homes, despite living on the pristine Golden Mile.”

“The local bars stay open until 7am in the morning and petty and violent crime is spiralling out of control. Community members are not satisfied with the responses from law enforcement, despite living opposite a Metro Police station. We hope to achieve some progress for this community,” she said.

Municipal officials, Metro Police and SAPS have been invited to attend and give feedback to residents.
