Environmental alliance celebrates 21 years

South Durban Community Environmental Alliance celebrates 21 years of environmental justice with a three-day programme.

THE South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA) celebrates 21 years of environmental justice with a three-day programme that will take place on 14, 17 and 18 November.

On 14 November, there will be a film screening at Austerville Hall from 3pm to 6pm. On 17 November the Port, The Urban Futures Centre (UFC) and the SDCEA are jointly hosting the first Inclusive City Symposium focusing on the port of Durban. More than discussing the port as it exists at present, the symposium aims to explore alternative visions of what the port and surrounding areas could be in the future.

Join the group for a day of constructive deliberation, conversation and debate. This event will be at DUT Steve Biko Campus, S2 Block, Room 204, from 8.30am to 4.30pm. RSVP to Rachel Matsha on rachelm1@dut.ac.za.
On 18 November join the group for a walk and campaign for a 24hour Asthma and Cancer Clinic. The walk starts at 8.30am for 9am at Badulla Drive Grounds and ends at Highbury Grounds. Dress code – wear pink.
