10 year sentence for cellphone thief

A cellphone thief operating in the Durban CBD was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.

A CELLPHONE thief was convicted and sentenced to ten years imprisonment for robbery at the Durban Regional Court this week.

 According to Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane, Sandile Ndlovu (32), allegedly robbed a 22-year-old woman who was walking along Smith Street on 20 May 2016. The victim was robbed of her cellphone. “A case of robbery was opened at Durban Central Police station for further investigation. The accused was apprehended and he made several court appearance until he was convicted and sentenced,” Zwane explained.
