President elected for SA Chamber

Zeph Ndlovu was elected president of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

ZEPH Ndlovu was elected as the president of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the SACCI Annual Convention on 19 October.

Ndlovu takes over the reins from Vusi Khumalo and will serve a term of two years.

Dumile Cele, CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the Durban Chamber is delighted with Zeph’s appointment.

“We are proud of Zeph for flying the Durban Chamber flag high and know that he will acquit himself with distinction. #DurbanMustRise,” she said.

Zeph has been actively involved in the Chamber movement for the past 12 years, previously being part of the Durban Chamber in different roles ranging from Durban Port Forum chairman, to Durban Chamber council member, Durban Chamber board member and lately as president. Zeph acknowledged the Chamber as a member organisation that exists to support the business community.

Zeph has 27 years of management and executive management experience in diverse business sectors. He is currently the general manager of Transnet Port Terminals. He has both local and international business experience having been seconded to business exchange programmes in UK, Brazil, Germany, France and Belgium. In addition, he has oversight business skills, having served in a number of boards and councils in communities and business.

One of the outstanding strengths in Zeph’s career is business turnaround especially in the midst of a highly competitive business environment. He has led a team of change management specialists at Nampak Packaging, Unilever SA, and Transnet Port Terminals at Durban with commendable results.
