Two injured in M12 accident

The police will be investigating an accident which occurred on the M12 near Moses Mabhida Stadium this morning.

TWO people miraculously escaped with only minor injuries, when the vehicle they were travelling in veered across the centre median on the M12, rolling several times.

According to Chris Botha from Netcare 911, at around 5am this morning (Thursday, 6 October), Netcare 911 paramedics and the Fire Department raced to the scene along the M12 near the Moses Mabida stadium.

“Reports from the scene indicated that the vehicle was traveling south bound, before it veered across the centre median and rolled several times,” said Botha.

Botha said paramedics found the wreckage of the vehicle had come to rest on its wheels half on the pavement of the north bound lane.

“Exact details to the cause of the crash and preceding events will form part of the South African Police investigation,” he said.
