Start your Heritage day with an energetic morning rave

The Morning Rave at Morrison Street invites all Durbanites to energize themselves and celebrate Heritage Day on Saturday morning, 24 September.

IF keeping fit is something you enjoy, don’t miss out this Saturday morning, 24 September as The Morning Rave celebrates Heritage Dayat 8 Morrison Street.

The intergalactic breakfast-fitness party kicks off at 7am and pays homage to something Durbanites all have in common: That ultra-special Mzansi-dancing magic. Bring your boets, bring the ballies, chinas and tannies, even the gogo’s and cuzzies, cause this jol is for everyone, say organisers.

The Heritage Edition is brought to you by creatives, Nine to Fives with genuine local brand Tomy Takkies and Food Lovers’ Market. It is the forth installment of this electric social fitness party, with state of the art sound, lighting, and entertainment. As always the vivacious Veranda Panda, will keep you hip-hopping on the dance floor with their proudly South African “choons.” East Coast Radio presenter, yoga guru, Keri Miller will be there to stretch out ‘the old chops.’ Once warmed up, get ready to turn up that Durban heat with the sculpted swag of Statik. Two-left feet? No problem, these okes will have you dancing like Madiba at the Rugby World Cup final. If you prefer a more traditional workout, ElliptiGo will be there with their exceptional elliptical trainers for a full-steam workout. Yoga-Kidz will keep the little ones calm with simple, fun yoga exercises developed especially for children.

Food Lovers’ Market will provide a delicious, nutritious breakfast at the Wild Oats Bar for mahala! That’s right! Free, fresh fruit, yoghurt and crunchy muesli, to keep your engines fired up and ready to rumble.

The Morning Rave and Tomy Takkies will be doing their part for the less fortunate this Heritage Day. Bring through an old, decent pair of shoes that we can donate to a needy individual, and you will get a brand-spanking new pair of genuine Tomy takkies.

All donated shoes will be donated to The Robin Hood Foundation’s Choose Your Shoes Spring 2016 campaign, whereby they will be putting shoes on the feet of 1000 orphaned and vulnerable children in Amaoti in October!

Tickets cost R100 online at Webtickets, or R120 at the door. Kids under 12 are free. participants can wear gym clothes/PJ’s/traditional wear (anything really, as long as you’re comfy).
