Motorists warned of N2 road closure

The N2 north and southbound between Mtunzini Toll Plaze and Empangeni/Richards Bay will be closed for construction tomorrow between 9am and noon.

MOTORISTS who travel on the N2 between Mtunzini Toll Plaze and Empangeni/Richards Bay are advised of  a road closure tomorrow, Thursday, 8 September.

The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) and its contractor, Murray and Roberts Infrastructure said the road closure was a precautionary measure to protect the public while a bridge deck is being lifted off its bearings.

The work will commence between 9am and noon and the closure will affect northbound and south bound traffic simultaneously. There may be reason to have more than one closure but the duration of any stop will not be longer than ten minutes.

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and adhere to speed limits. The patience and co-operation of motorists will be appreciated.

SANRAL apologises to the motoring public for any inconvenience caused and thanks them for their patience during road construction.
