Jersey project gives back

THERE was a warm surprise for children from the KZN Society for the Blind’s Baumann House when members of the Lions Club of Durban South presented them with jerseys.

Lorraine Scott, who started the club’s jersey project nine years ago, visited the school to hand each child a hand knitted jersey and beanie.

The donation is only made possible by the dedicated help of a group of knitters who knit warm items for the children.

She appealed to the community to help with donations of four ply or double knitting wool, which is desperately needed.
