Spring has sprung…see why these little ones are excited about the new season
So what's so great about Spring?
WHILE most adults celebrate the opportunity for new beginnings on Spring Day, 1 September, with flowers chocolates and much spring cleaning, children usually have a very different view of this special change of season.
Local children around Glenwood are excited about Spring and their schools’ participation in the upcoming Glenwood Festival which has a hive of fun family activities on offer next weekend.
Speaking to Berea Mail, a few told us what their favourite thing about the season is.
Jaden Danniels (7) from Manor Gardens Primary, said, “Well it has to be swimming again.”
Nicolas Ackerman (9) from Glenwood Prep, said he loved the way the trees looked and how the flowers bloomed.
Nelisu Mdletshe (9) from Camelot College said it was the perfect time for picnics in the park.
Young Riley Grendon (9) from Glenwood Prep also loved swimming and the rain that came with Spring.
