Applications open for project funding

Applications for funding of projects by the Botanical Education Trust are currently open.

APPLICATIONS for funding of projects by the Botanical Education Trust are currently open, and close on 31 September.

The Botanical Education Trust operates under the auspices of the Botanical Society of SA (BotSoc). It is fully registered and approved as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). The Trust functions independently of BotSoc and the Trustees make all decisions regarding the Trust at their sole discretion.

The objectives of the Trust are to advance education and research in the field of indigenous South African flora and factors influencing it, , to assist in funding the publication of literature pertaining to indigenous South African flora and factors influencing it and to promote indigenous South African flora in any way the Trustees see fit.

Funding will go to education, research or publications which have as a main objective the promotion of indigenous South African flora, and any item which has a direct benefit to indigenous South African flora.

Recipients of awards from the Trust must be resident in South Africa, with preference given to South African citizens. In the case of associations, preference will be given to public benefit organisations registered in the Republic of South Africa.
