THE female officers at Durban Central SAPS and Metro Police took the lead in various operations around the city on Friday afternoon to commemorate Women’s Month.

The ladies in blue started with an operation at Umgeni Road where they organised a roadblock before moving through the city’s hot-spots.

According to Constable ZP Khomo, the successful operations continued to the Ndwedwe taxi rank in the Warwick triangle area where female officers carried out stop and searches. “We continued with stop and searches at ranks on West Street, Brooke Street and ended at Albert Park,” she added.
