HAWKS members arrested a man for dealing in drugs in the Durban CBD on Tuesday, 28 June.
The officers received information about the man who was dealing at the intersection of Field and Smith Streets in Durban and members embarked on an operation together with Crime Intelligence and Shongweni K9 Unit.
According to Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo, during the operation the 26-year-old man was spotted by the members.
“He was searched and found in possession of 80 ecstasy tablets with the Mercedes emblem. He was subsequently arrested and charged for possession of drugs,” he said.
He appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today, 29 June.
