Unlimited fun at body art competition

Artists were given the opportunity to create some beautiful body art at uShaka's competition on Saturday.

IT was all about embracing one’s inner creative with Unlimited Fun @ uShaka for this year's theme at the uShaka Body Art competition on Saturday.

Walking off with the R5 000 cash prize was 32-year-old Teri Ferreira from Johannesburg, who originally hails from Kloof, with her colourful and creative interpretation that caught the judge’s eye among the tough competition.

“It all happened so fast”, said karate instructor Ferreira. She had sent through her entry just before the closing date after her husband “happened to mention” earlier that week that he saw that a body art competition was taking place in Durban at uShaka at the weekend. After confirming her entry, she then made plans to travel to Durban along with her husband and four-year-old daughter for a weekend of fun and ended up claiming first prize.

Fellow Durbanites, 26-year-old, Caelisha Harris was the runner-up with a R2 500 cash prize and taking third place was 28-year-old, Shana Ramjewan, who won R1 000.
