Tasty treat for SPCA staff

Local chefs took time out to spoil the staff at Durban and Coast SPCA.

THE team from Blue Strawberry Caterers and My Chef took time out of their busy cooking schedule to bring some cheer to the staff at the Durban and Coast SPCA in Springfield recently by surprising them with a scrumptious lunch with all the trimmings.

Jenni Jackson, owner of Blue Strawberry and My Chef said: “We try our best to set aside time to give back to those who do good. It feels great to treat those who are the voices for our many mistreated and abandoned animals, and we wanted to do something to show them that we appreciate their efforts out in the field and at their place of work.”

Lindsey Concer of the SPCA, was delighted when the catering team turned up.

“We are always so thankful and appreciative when we receive financial support from the public and business sector, who donate towards our orphaned animals or take the time out to adopt, but today, this was very special as our staff was made to feel appreciated for all our efforts,” she added.
