DA introduces ward candidates

The Democratic Alliance introduced its mayoral and ward candidates to the community.

THE Democratic Alliance (DA) held a public meeting at St Thomas’ Church on Monday night, to introduce its mayoral candidate and new ward candidates to the community.

Chief Whip, John Steenhuisen addressed those present on a number of topics.

Mayoral candidate, Haniff Hoosen spoke about the mayoral campaign and the chances for the DA in the City, after which he introduced the ward candidates, Mmabatho Tembe, who is standing in ward 33 and Christopher Pappas, who will be representing ward 31 in the elections, as well as the current candidates, ward 27 councillor Martin Meyer, who will be standing in this ward again, and Nicole Graham, who will be standing in ward 26.

Each of the candidates took a few minutes to address the residents, after which Steenhuisen opened the floor for questions from the community.
