Point police need community members to assist as reservists to fight crime in the area.

POINT SAPS needs your assistance. Police are in the process of recruiting informers and reservists in the fight against crime.

“We are appealing to community members who can assist and are willing to give any information which will assist in fighting crime in the Point area,” said Point police communications officer, Captain BJ Simelane.

Community members who are interested in making Point precinct a safer place can contact Lieutenant Colonel RK Singh on 031-367-4031 for more information.

“The Point SAPS is warning Marine Surfing Clubs along Erskine Terrace in Addington Beach to not leave personal belongings on car seats as this attracts criminals,” advised Simelane. In an incident recently, he said a vehicle was broken into and the car was stolen as a result.
