Man jumps from moving taxi

A MAN was seriously injured after jumping from a moving taxi in the Durban CBD on Tuesday evening.

According to Chris Botha from Netcare 911, paramedics received call at around 8pm regarding a shooting incident in Aliwal Street, Durban.

“However, when paramedics arrived that discovered it was not a shooting but rather a man who had jumped from a moving taxi, and when he fell he hit his head on the roadway,” said Botha.

Paramedics found the man lying on the roadway with life threatening injuries.

“The team of paramedics worked for some time to stabilise the critically injured man. They immobilised him on a trauma board before transporting him under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic to hospital,” he said.
