A task team has been established to look into the issue of foreign nationals who were displaced by the xenophobic attacks in the City in March last year.

Around 150 displaced adults and children were living on a farm in Cato Ridge but have since moved back into the City. The group are currently on the pavements of Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street.
EThekwini Mayor James Nxumalo said a task team would be created to assist the displaced foreign nationals. This includes officials from the City, provincial government, police and Home Affairs Department.
He said a report will be compiled and presented to the Executive Committee with recommendations on how best to assist the foreign nationals.
