11 injured in Umgeni taxi crash
Eleven people were injured and taken to hospital when the taxi they were travelling lost control overturned on Umgeni Road this morning.
AT least eleven commuters were injured in a taxi crash on Umgeni Road this morning.
According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director of Rescue Care, the passengers were injured when the driver of the taxi they were travelling in lost control of the vehicle and overturned on Umgeni Road near Goble Road at about six this morning.
“Paramedics found the single vehicle lying on its side. A total of eleven people had suffered various injuries and more ambulances were dispatched to assist. Two people had sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised. Once all of the injured had been stabilised, they were transported to hospital,” he said.
