Two injured in freeway crash
Traffic was severely affected in both directions as a result of the accident.
TWO people have been injured, one seriously, after a truck drove into a bakkie on the N2 north-bound near Westwood Mall around 11am today (3 February).
A truck and a bakkie collided on the north-bound carriageway. It is alleged that the bakkie was broken down in the emergency lane when the truck crashed into it.

The truck driver had sustained minor injuries and was also transported to a nearby hospital.
“Neither vehicle caught alight,” said Garrith Jamieson, Rescue Care’s operations director.
Traffic was severely affected in both directions as a result of the accident as well as people rubber-necking on the south-bound carriageway.
