Six injured in city crash

Six people were injured in a multiple vehicle crash on the M4 near Blue Lagoon on Thursday afternoon.

SIX people were injured in a four car pile up on the M4 North bound before Blue Lagoon off ramp yesterday afternoon.

Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson, said paramedics arrived on the scene to find four vehicles collided. “One vehicle had rolled several times. Paramedics found that a total of six people had sustained various injuries and more ambulances were called to assist. Once more resources had arrived the injured were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care,” he said.

Afternoon traffic was severely affected as only one lane out of the four was open.
