ETHEKWINI Municipality currently faces a delay in the supply of orange recycling bags.
According to the Municipality, the delay is largely due to a change in contractors manufacturing the bags. The supply of raw materials was behind schedule which resulted in insufficient bags coming off the production line. The city is, as a result, experiencing a backlog in deliveries of the bags to households.
Attempts are being made to resolve the situation and restore the delivery of the bags to all areas within the metro. Bags are currently being distributed as they come out of production.
The city apologises for any inconvenience caused.
