RENOWNED humanitarian, adventurer, author, TV personality and fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Kingsley Holgate, will be taking guests through a colourful account of his most recent conquest, the ‘Heart of Africa’ expedition to Congo, at a distinguished cocktail evening in support of The Sunflower Fund.
This exciting event, sponsored by Yamaha SA and Land Rover Umhlanga, will be at the Gateway Hotel in Umhlanga on Friday, 5 February at 6.30pm.
The theme of the evening is a ‘touch of Africa’ and an enviable prize will be awarded to the best-dressed guest. All proceeds will be donated to The Sunflower Fund to educate and recruit as many stem cell donors as possible. This in turn will give hope to patients suffering from leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders who are searching for their 1 in 100 000 donor match.
Cost per ticket is R250 per person and includes a drink on arrival, cocktail snacks, a scintillating talk as well as fabulous lucky draw prizes and raffles.
