Support BotSoc outing

Take a full day visit to Mtunzini and Umlalazi Nature Reserve with Charles and Julia Botha.

ENJOY a full day visit to Mtunzini and Umlalazi Nature Reserve with Charles and Julia Botha on Saturday 13 February.

Get there in your own car, or sit back comfortably in an airconditioned vehicle hired by BotSoc. Mtunzini is about a 1½ hour drive from Durban.

Some of the exciting features includes a Raffia Palm monument, coastal dune forest, mangroves, a Scadoxus spectacular and a stunning indigenous garden.

Charge will include finger lunch at the Botha’s cottage and all entrance fees. Take a sunhat, comfortable shoes, binoculars, and an umbrella if rain is forecast.

Cost is R145 for members of BotSoc and the Friends of Durban Botanic Gardens, R165 for visitors and R135 for students with cards.

Self-drive option costs more, contact botsoc-kzn@mweb.co.za to find out prices. Numbers will be limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Proceeds from this event will go to the Botanical Education Trust.
