Critical passenger air lifted after crash

A passenger of a taxi was air lifted to hospital this morning after a taxi veered out of control in KwaMashu.

ONE person was killed and several others injured in a collision on Nyala Road in KwaMashu, KZN this morning.
The crash occurred when the driver of a taxi allegedly lost control of the vehicle and drove up an embankment before coming to a stop.

Two passengers sustained critical injuries while others suffered moderate to serious ijuries. ER24 paramedics transported two patients to Albert Luthuli Hospital for further treatment. One critically injured patient was airlifted by Air Mercy Services to hospital.

The cause of the incident remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for investigation.
