Girls support charity

Girls from Maris Stella School raised thousands of Rands for the Robin Hood Foundation.

SOME amazing community helpers in Grade 2s, 3s and 4s at Maris Stella, spearheaded by educator, Michele Baird, chose The Robin Hood Foundation as their charity of choice for 2015.

The girls hosted various fund-raising initiatives throughout the year, raising nearly R18 000 for The Robin Hood Foundation’s Christmas 4 Kids and Bless-a-Granny and Grandpa 2015.

Co-ordinator, Kim Griffith Jones, said: “ We are so grateful to these remarkable young ladies for their hard work and efforts in raising such a substantial amount of money for our Christmas campaigns! Doesn't the future of our SA look brighter knowing these caring hearts have such a passion for making a difference in our communities?”
