Elgie Road maintenance completed

Ward councillor Nicole Graham said the municipality needs to ensure maintenance departments complete their work.

MAINTENANCE work in Elgie Road, Glenwood, has finally been completed, following complaints by residents in August.

Ward councillor Nicole Graham raised issues brought to her attention by the residents with the municipality. These included pavements which had been left unfinished after the Water Department had undertaken work along the road and failed to retar the pavements. The Parks Department had also failed to remove debris after trimming trees in the area.

Graham said the completion of the work had unfortunately taken some time, but was pleased that the road looked better.

“Now the municipality needs to ensure maintenance departments, especially water, complete their work and that the turnaround time is improved,” she said.
