TAFTA will host a jumble sale in the Lucas Garden’s car park, 14 East Street, (behind Ridge Road) Overport on Friday 6 November from 7.30am to noon.

On sale will be new and old clothing, white elephant, art work, long playing records, CDs and tapes.

Dealers welcome.

MANNING Road Methodist Church is hosting an International Food Fair on Saturday, 7 November at 450 Che Guevara (Moore) Road, Glenwood, from 11am to 3pm.

There will be a delicious spread of food from seven countries including South Africa, Italy, India, England, Portugal, USA and the 7th Heaven pudding table.

Entrance is free but you will need a passport to dine: an adult passport will give you three meals for R80 and a child passport will give you two meals for R40.

Hot and cold refreshments will also be on sale.

THE Catholic Women’s League (CWL) branches are holding a fete on Saturday 7 November at St Josephs Church Florida Road from 8am to 3pm.

Do your Christmas shopping at the stalls which include plants, cakes, books, international foods, tea garden, handwork, bags and white elephant.

THE Durban Rock Alliance is hosting the next music quiz evening at The Stella Sports Club (Running Section Pub), Helen Joseph Road, Glenwood on Wednesday 11 November from 7pm.

There is off street parking and food is available from the pub upstairs.

Entrance is R30 per entrant, teams may have a maximum of six people.

The quiz covers all genres of music.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Branch of the South African Military History Society will meet on Thursday 12 November at 7pm at the Murray Lecture Theatre, Department of Civil Engineering, University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College Campus.

The speakers will be Charles Whiteing on Poppy Power and Donald Davies on Four little whalers from Durban to the Mediterranean in 1940.
