Thumbs up for Overport clinic

Ward councillor Jethro Lefevre is full of praise for the newly completed Overport Clinic.

THE recently completed Overport Clinic in Peter Mokaba Road, has been praised by the ward councillor, Jethro Lefevre.

Lefevre said the construction of the clinic was completed in July, and is very pleased with the end results.

“I am very grateful that the Health Department prioritised this clinic after the former clinic was damaged in a flood on 27 November 2011, when one of the walls fell down in the storm. The Department has been fantastic to work with and the contractor was great. The finished product is amazing,” he said.

He said the clinic served a large area, and with the closure of the Sydenham clinic, which was undergoing a revamp, some of its patients had been referred to Overport.

“I'm sure the staff are feeling the pressure, but with good staff and a good facility, they seem to be coping well,” he said.
