Apply before the end of October to receive funding of projects by the Botanical Education Trust.

APPLICATIONS are invited for funding of projects by the Botanical Education Trust.

This trust operates under the auspices of the KZN Coastal Branch of the Botanical Society of SA (BotSoc), and is fully registered and has been approved as a public benefit organisation (PBO).

The objectives of the trust are to advance education and research in the field of indigenous South African flora and factors influencing it, for example natural environmental factors and alien invader plants. This item will be the main objective of the trust and preference will be given to funding work likely to have a positive influence on indigenous plant conservation.

The trust is to assist in funding the publication of literature pertaining to indigenous South African flora and factors influencing it and to promote indigenous South African flora in any way the trustees see fit.

Any beneficiary of the trust must be a South African citizen and be resident in this country, or may be a locally-registered public benefit organisation.

The closing date for applications is 30 October and no late submissions will be considered.
