TWELVE of the 24 suspects arrested after a shooting left three dead at the Brook Street taxi rank last Wednesday morning, appeared at the Durban magistrates court on Friday.
Police initially arrested 24 suspects from both associations who were involved in the conflict but only 12 appeared in court.
Natasha Kara, regional communications manager in KZN for the NPA said whilst 24 we're arrested by police, after the public prosecutor perused the docket he found no prima facie case against 12 of the suspects.
“The twelve accused will all return to court on 23 September for a formal bail application,” she added.
