Women escape with minor injuries
Two women are lucky to escape with minor injuries after a serious collision on Essenwood Road this afternoon.
TWO female motorists were lucky to get away with moderate injuries after a two-car collision on Essenwood Road on Monday afternoon.
Motorists were encouraged to steer clear of the road as authorities cleared the scene.
Garrith Jamieson, operations director of Rescue Care said two women drivers were involved in the accident and one of them had a child in the vehicle.
“Witnesses said the driver in the middle lane was turning right towards, Hurst Grove Road and collided with the vehicle on the right lane. One vehicle flipped and rolled,” he added.
While one woman was taken to hospital for moderate injuries, the child and other female driver sustained minor injuries and all were stable.
“People need to be more aware. There is a blind spot turning up that road. They were both lucky to escape with mild injuries after the serious collision,” Jamieson added.
