Two injured as vehicle rolls

Two people were injured when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle they were travelling in.

TWO people were seriously injured after the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle they were travelling in, in the early hours of Sunday morning, 26 July, in Lena Ahrens (Manning) Road.

“Just after 1.20am Rescue Care paramedics responded to the call of a vehicle that had rolled in Manning Road. Paramedics found thevehicle on its roof. It had veered out of control and collided with a shop window and rolled,” said Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care. He said two occupants were found lying near the vehicle with serious injuries. Once they had been stabilised they were transported to hospital.

“At this stage it is unclear what caused the vehicle to veer out of control and roll, however it is thought that the adverse weather conditions could have made the roadway exceptionally wet and slippery. SAPS were on the

scene and will be investigating further,” he said.
