Donations make a difference

Lake Smit and Partners donated money to two charities from the proceeds of breast cancer month last October.

At the cheque handover were Heather Walker from Highway Hospice, Leigh Smit, admin manager at Lake, Smit and Partners, Dr Susan Chick, radiologist for Lake, Smit and Partners, Jenny Caldwell from Reach for Recovery, Indera Maharaj from Reach for Recovery and Lil Marshall from Reach for Recovery.

LAKE, Smit and Partners donated funds to Reach for Recovery and Highway Hospice recently.

Lake Smit and Partners’ breast cancer month donation to the non-profit organisations is an annual event, which is now in its 5th year.

A percentage of all mammograms performed in October each year are donated to Reach for Recovery and Highway Hospice, and this year an amount of R60 750 was donated to each organisation.

Lake, Smit and Partners is proud to aid in the effort to support breast cancer survivors by recognising Reach for Recovery, and to support Highway Hospice, which provides palliative care for patients with terminal illness as well as support for their carers and families.
