Craft group needs help

CANSA is appealing to the public to assist with donations of wool and fabric, and for volunteers to help teach people how to crochet, paint and make quilts.

CANSA would like to start a Tuesday CANSA Craft Group at the Mkhuhla CANSA Care Home.

The organisation appeals for wool and crochet and knitting needles and the assistance of someone who can teach the group how to crochet, as well as fabric for quilting and assistance from someone who can teach the art of quilting.

As patients usually stay at the home for around six weeks, there is ample time to learn a new skill and to make something to take home as a reminder of their stay in Durban and of a difficult time conquered.

There is also a very good room for a painting workshop with excellent light and if there is a watercolor artist who would like to assist, it would be appreciated.

If anyone can help, contact Linda Cipolla on 031 205 9525 or email lcipolla@cansa.org.za
